Infants
Catering to 6 weeks to 23 months
In the infant classroom at Golden Poppy, we strive to nurture each child's unique independence while providing a stimulating and enriching environment that encourages growth, exploration, and learning. Our carefully selected sensory toys actively engage their developing minds, fostering a sense of curiosity and a blossoming creativity.
During circle time lessons, we introduce new sounds, shapes, and various concepts, promoting essential early cognitive skills that are foundational for their development. Throughout the day, we consistently ensure that infants receive plenty of well-deserved opportunities for restful sleep with scheduled nap times, alongside attentive and gentle care during diaper changes and snack time, creating a balanced and supportive routine that promotes their overall physical and emotional development.

SAFE AND NUTURING ENVIRONMENT
We take extra care to create a safe and nurturing environment for newborns by giving them their own space to play and grow without the influence of more mobile babies. This separation helps ensure that they can develop at their own pace without the risk of being accidentally hurt or overwhelmed by older infants. It's a thoughtful approach to early childhood care!
When our infants start to become more mobile, we like them to move up to the Sea Turtles where they are able to practice and use their mobilization and begin to discover more sensory play, circle time, and learn to gain more independence with eating on their own, socialization, etc.
From the Sea Horse class and on, we focus on developing and enhancing their learning abilities to ensure they are well-prepared to catch up with the upcoming classes that will be transitioning to pre-k. In this engaging environment, we go over essential concepts such as our colors, the alphabets, as well as sensory play activities, socialization skills, and much more. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive foundation that supports their growth and readiness for the next stage in their educational journey.

WHY GOLDEN POPPY PRESCHOOL AND INFANT CENTER?
At Golden Poppy Preschool and Infant Center we take a thoughtful approach to transitioning children into more structured learning environments. By separating the walkers from the newborns and crawlers, they can explore and engage in activities that are appropriate for their developmental stage. Introducing a group schedule and simple concepts at this age helps set a foundation for future learning and socialization.
